Dr. Matthew Bolton is a New Orleans native and graduate of Jesuit High School. Following undergraduate work at the University of Georgia, Dr. Bolton went on to medical school at the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans where he was awarded membership into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed his intern year in Internal Medicine with the Tulane Department of Medicine prior to finishing his Ophthalmology training at the LSU Eye Center and Ochsner Clinic Foundation. Dr. Bolton served with distinction as the Chief Resident of LSU Ophthalmology his final year of residency.
Dr. Bolton enjoys all aspects of eye care including cataract surgery, LASIK eye surgery, eyelid surgery, glaucoma, and medical care of retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy.
His wife, Krista, is an elementary school teacher and they have three children, Cliff, Reece and Louise.
