CLIFFORD HENDRICKS, MD
Dr. Clifford Hendricks is a board-certified ophthalmologist who was raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended Tulane University where he fell in love with the people and culture of New Orleans. He remained at Tulane for his Medical School and ophthalmology training. Dr. Hendricks was accepted to the prestigious Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. where he specialized in Corneal Transplant and refractive surgery. He remained at Georgetown where he completed a second fellowship in Medical Retina.
Dr. Hendricks considered it a dream come true when he was given the opportunity to return to New Orleans in 1991 as a partner of New Orleans Eye Specialists. A well respected sub-specialty eye group.
Dr. Hendricks is the past president and medical director of the Southern Eye Bank. He has served as President Elect of the medical staff at EENT Hospital and the executive committee of Touro Infirmary.
He is currently the Vice President of the Memorial Clinic Foundation. Dr. Hendricks specializes in corneal transplants (DSEK), refractive surgery (LASIK) and cataract surgery. In his free time he enjoys jogging in Audubon Park and playing tennis. His wife, Jean, is an optometrist at the VA Medical Center. They have an 8 yr old son, Evan.
